ROGERS, Justice.

Cyril P. Sunseri and Verna Cassagne were married in the Parish of St. Bernard, Louisiana, on May 13, 1935. After living together for several months a separation took place between the parties. On October 1, 1936, following a prosecution for alimony before the Juvenile Court, Sunseri brought this suit to annul his marriage, on the ground that his wife, Verna Cassagne, is a person of color, having a traceable amount of negro blood.
