Appellant Harlow Dean Parsons appeals from a judgment dissolving the parties’ marriage. He contends the trial court erred in not changing the name of the parties’ child.

Petitioner-Respondent (Wife) gave birth to a son, Michael Edward Hayes on October 11, 1992, in Kansas. The father of the child is Respondent-Appellant (Husband). Although the two were not married at the time of the child’s birth, paternity of the child is not an issue here.
