| sIn this appeal, the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development (the DOTD) seeks review of the trial court’s decision to grant the plaintiffs’ motion for a directed verdict. The plaintiffs answered the appeal to seek review of the jury’s allocation of 50 percent fault to the decedent driver in the single-car accident sued upon.
