Before the Court is a Motion to Remand filed on behalf of plaintiff, John Nick Simms, seeking a remand of this action to the 16th Judicial District Court, Parish of Iberia, Louisiana. Plaintiff originally filed suit in state court alleging claims for negligence in violation of LSA-C.C. art. 2315 and general maritime law on the part of the platform owner, Walter Oil & Gas Corp.
