Opinion by Justice RODRIGUEZ.

In accordance with a plea agreement, appellant, Anastacio Valdez, pleaded no contest to the felony offense of forgery. See TEX. PEN. CODE ANN. § 32.21 (Vernon Supp.2002). Appellant, a permanent resident of the United States and a citizen of Mexico, was placed on deferred adjudication community supervision for two years.
