*488 *330 Arquimides Gonzalez appeals the denial of his motion for an out-of-time appeal. In his motion for an out-of-time appeal, Gonzalez asserted that he had failed to timely appeal an amended sentence because the trial court had not notified him of that sentence in a timely manner. On appeal, Gonzalez contends that the trial court erred by denying his motion for an out-of-time appeal because it did *331 not conduct a hearing to determine who bore responsibility for his failure to file a timely appeal.
