This case asks a seemingly easy question:- are murder and attempted murder *230violent felonies that require the “use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force.” However, the legal analysis of this question turns out to be more complicated and convoluted than common sense would dictate. Nonetheless, this tortuous analysis leads to the same conclusion that general principles of logic and common sense would reach: murder and attempted murder are violent felonies.
