Plaintiffs, Lucy Dominguez Mojica, Michelle Sepúlveda, and Vanessa Sepúlveda, brought a tort action in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico against defendant, Citibank, N.A. Plaintiff Dominguez was involved in an accident with Miriam Rosario Pérez, who was leasing a car from the defendant, and both plaintiffs and defendant stipulate that Ms. Rosario (the “lessee”) was driving in a negligent manner at the time of the accident.
