MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
CARRIGAN, District Judge.
In November 1980, gasoline leakage into sewer lines in the vicinity of a Chevron service station in Northglenn, Colorado, caused about forty-two families to be evacuated from the neighborhood. Subsequent investigation determined that the leakage had occurred from an underground line connecting the tanks to the station’s gasoline dispensers. The City of Northglenn and some of its residents sued Chevron, U.S.A., Inc. (Chevron) for personal injuries and property damages caused- by the gasoline leak.
