Upon the trial the plaintiff introduced the promissory notes described in the complaint, showing the amount of the balance due thereon and rested his case.

The defendant in support of his answer undertook to show that after he was adjudged a bankrupt on December 3, 1920, he entered into an agreement in writing with his principal creditors in order that he might continue raising wheat, and that it was agreed between himself and his creditors that he should give each of his unsecured creditors a new note in lieu of the old notes and indebtedness, which were barred by the adjudication in…
