The plaintiff’s intestate, Charles Coutts, on the 22d day of January, 1930, while employed in the performance of work involved in the construction of a school building by his employer, Raymond J. Williams, received injuries resulting in his death. At the time of the accident some pieces of structural steel weighing about two tons were being moved under the direction of the plaintiff’s intestate by means of a crane operated by Edward Stanton. The steel boom of the crane supporting the structural steel pieces which were being moved, buckled above the head of Coutts, thus letting the load fall…
