After the temporary administrator of the estate of Steven Douglas Nielsen’s first amended inventory, appraisement, and list of claims was approved in the Probate Court No. 2 of Tarrant County,1 Nielsen’s surviving spouse, Linda D. Nielsen (Linda), filed her second amended application for a family allowance. The primary beneficiary under the will, Maria Juanita Footman, opposed Linda’s application.
