Appellants Los Angeles Unified School District (District) and Governing Board of the Los Angeles Unified School District (Board) appeal from the judgment of the superior court granting United Teachers—Los Angeles (UTLA) and eight individuals 1 represented by UTLA a peremptory writ of mandamus compelling the appellant Board to set aside its decision dated May 15, 1980, dismissing the eight respondents as employees of the District and further awarding respondents costs and attorney’s fees.
