This is a companion case to Johnson v. State, ante, 581, in which the defendant was convicted of burglary. In the instant case, John Alvin Johnson was indicted for assault with intent to murder and convicted of shooting at another. Both cases were tried before the same jury, at the same time, and on the same evidence. Por a statement of the facts, see Johnson v. State, supra.
