In this workers’ compensation case, the employer, Coca Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. (Coca Cola), appeals a judgment awarding the employee, Ronald K. Trahan, penalties and attorney fees for its failure to pay a purported settlement entered into in open court. Coca Cola also appeals an order allowing Mr. Trahan to file the settlement judgment into the mortgage records of the district court. Mr. Trahan has answered the appeal, seeking additional attorney fees for work done on appeal.
