On December 9, 1982, Joseph DiNatale was discharged from his job as a truck driver with the Boston Sand & Gravel Co. He filed a claim for unemployment compensation benefits with the Division of Employment Security (division), which was denied under G. L. c. 151A, § 25 (e) (2).2 He ap*656pealed the denial of his claim, and a hearing took place before a review examiner on February 28, 1983.
