This action was commenced in the district court, of Pawnee county by the defendant in error, hereinafter styled the plaintiff, against the plaintiff in error, hereinafter styled the defendant, to recover the sum of $2,002.52 and to foreclose a mechanic’s lien upon an undivided one-eighth interest of defendant in and to a certain oil and gas lease on the west half of the northwest quarter of section 9, township 20 north, range 8 east, Pawnee county..
