In an action by the plaintiff, a British corporation, to recover from the defendants, alleged to be the owners of the Greek steamship Salaminia, the sum of $242,800 under a contract made in November, 1940, whereby plaintiff claims to have been employed by the defendants to act on their behalf as agent of the Salaminia, a warrant of attachment was granted on December 15, 1944. A certified copy thereof was served on December 16,1944, upon the American Express Company, Inc., the attachment garnishee.
