Appellee had a written contract with the school directors to teach their school for seven months. They discharged her at the end of four months and she sued to recover salary for the balance of the term. The trial resulted in a verdict and judgment for $195.

The statute provides that no official business shall be transacted by the directors except at a regular or special meeting; that the clerk shall keep a record of the official acts of the board and on all questions involving the expenditure of money the yeas and nays shall be taken and entered, upon the records of the proceedings of the…
