SCI Colorado Funeral Services, Inc. (SCI) appeals the district court’s judgment awarding compensatory and punitive damages to Dorothy Karnes and ordering reinstatement on her retaliatory discharge claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e-2000el7. 1 SCI argues that the district court should have applied state rather than federal law regarding the standard for proving punitive damages.
