L. H. Coart was indicted for tbe murder of A. B. McNiece, and was tried and found guilty, with the recommendation that he be punished by imprisonment in the penitentiary for life. The evidence introduced for the State tended to show that the killing was murder, and that the motive actuating the defendant ■to commit 'the crime was the -desire to possess himself of the wife of the deceased. The defendant introduced no evidence, except his statement.
