McCORMICK, Justice.

The question here is whether a straight razor is a dangerous weapon per se under the definition of dangerous weapon in section 702.7, The Code. In convicting defendant in a jury-waived trial of carrying a dangerous weapon in violation of section 724.4, the trial court held that a straight razor is a dangerous weapon regardless of the intent of the person carrying it. Defendant contends the court erred in overruling his motion to dismiss based on absence of evidence that he intended to use the razor to inflict death or serious injury.
