BRECKENRIDGE, Judge.

Doyle Johnson appeals from his conviction of one count of unlawful use of a weapon, in violation of § 571.030.1(4), RSMo 1994, 1 and his sentence of eight years imprisonment as a prior and persistent offender. On appeal, Mr. Johnson contends that the trial court erred in denying his motion for judgment of acquittal at the close of the State’s evidence because there was insufficient evidence to support his conviction.
