The action was brought to foreclose a mechanic’s ■lien for a balance due on a contract for making certain repairs and alterations in a building in which the appellant had a life estate. The appellant’s interest in this property is sought to be charged upon the claim that she consented to the repairs and alterations provided for by the contract between the defendant corporation and the plaintiff’s .assignor; and one of the questions presented is whether the evidence was sufficient to sustain the finding of the referee that the plaintiff’s assignor performed the labor or services or furnished…
