Plaintiffs filed suit against defendants on January 24, 1977, alleging negligence which proximately caused destruction of and damage to plaintiffs’ real and personal property. Plaintiffs alleged the Leishers failed to exercise reasonable and proper care in the complete and exclusive control, supervision and management of their premises, including the heating system, and that this failure was the direct and proximate cause of a fire which commenced on their premises and spread to plaintiffs’ premises.
