OPINION

(¶ 1} Defendant-appellant, Sidney S. Hamilton ("appellant"), appeals the judgment of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, in which that court denied appellant's motion to withdraw his guilty plea to counts of attempted rape and gross sexual imposition. (¶ 2} On February 26, 1993, the Franklin County Grand Jury indicted appellant on one count each of rape, attempted rape and kidnapping, and two counts of gross sexual imposition, arising out of appellant's sexual assault of his eight-year-old niece.
