Anton Denk died intestate in Chicago January 31, 1896, leaving him surviving Anna Denk, his widow, and William, Annie, Josefa and Antonie Denk, his children by a former wife, as his only heirs-at-law. At the time of his death he was the owner of lot 27 in Evans’ subdivision of a part of the south half of block 38 in the subdivision of section 19, township 39, north, range 14, east of the third principal meridian.
