This was an action on the case by appellant against appellee. The declaration charges negligence on the part of appellant in not providing a safe and proper way for passengers to mount its train at Waukegan, in this State; in allowing a heap of ashes and other material to accumulate at and near the way by which passengers were to approach its train, and in not keeping its platform close to its depot, but about 150 feet distant therefrom, and near to and beside a heap of ashes and other material, without a platform or other means of…
