After members of the Cambridge police department executed a search warrant at the defendant's residence, a grand jury returned indictments charging the defendant with various drug and firearm offenses. A Superior Court jury convicted the defendant of the narcotics violations (possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and a related school zone offense) and acquitted him on the remaining firearm charges.
