The defendants, Kenneth Lantini and 1200 Hartford LLC, appeal from an order of the Superior Court denying their motion for a new trial after a jury found in favor of the plaintiff, Daryl Heneault. The defendants argue that the economic loss doctrine bars the plaintiff from recovering damages for the tort of conversion and that the trial justice erred in awarding attorneys' fees to the plaintiff.
