This action was commenced by an information filed by the district attorney of Eock county, in the municipal court of said county, charging in the first count that the defendant did on the 1st day of May, 1885, at the city of Janesville, abandon his wife, leaving her in a destitute condition, and has since that date continued to leave her in a destitute condition; in the second count that at the time above mentioned the defendant, being of sufficient *475ability, refused and neglected, and continues to refuse and neglect, to provide for the support of his wife.
