Defendant was found guilty under a grand jury indictment charging him with feloniously buying and receiving 5000 pounds of stolen aluminum, knowing the same to have been stolen. On the verdict of the jury the court entered judgment sentencing him to a term in the state penitentiary. He seeks a reversal on numerous assignments of error, directed principally to the court’s allegedly prejudicial remarks in the presence of the jury and to rulings permitting admission, over objection, of testimony offered by the people, and exclusion of testimony offered by defendant, to which rulings exceptions…
