Constas Gus Basiliko was convicted in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County of conspiracy to defraud the State of Maryland and certain named individuals constituting the State Roads Commission (usually referred to below, collectively, as the “State Roads Commission” or the “Commission”). He was sentenced to two years imprisonment and a fine of a thousand dollars. He appeals from the judgment and sentence.
