MEMORANDUM OPINION
GLEN M. WILLIAMS, District Judge.
Both of these cases involve appeals of the final decision of the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare denying plaintiffs’ claims for a period of disability and disability insurance benefits under the Social Security Act, as amended 42 U.S.C. §§ 416(i) and 423. Jurisdiction of this court is pursuant to § 205(g) of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 405(g). After receiving oral argument in these cases and after consideration of the written memoranda submitted by the parties, the court is now of the opinion that both cases involve the same issue of law.…
