Glynn Chanson, aged eighteen years, was killed almost instantly, on the morning of May 26, 1930, at about 7:30 o’clock in a collision between an automobile in which he was riding and which belonged to and was being driven by John D. Russ, and a locomotive of the defendant railroad company which was hauling a train of freight cars over the tracks at the crossing known as Chacahoula crossing in the parish of Terrebonne.
