This matter is before the Court on the motion for reconsideration filed by the defendants, Thomas LaRose (“LaRose”) and Virginia State University. In its previous *276Memorandum Opinion and Order, the Court declined to dismiss the plaintiffs race discrimination claim against LaRose, brought under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981 and 1983 and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
