Memorandum: In an action commenced on February 2, 1981 to recover damages for slander, plaintiff’s amended complaint alleges that on two separate occasions, November, 1979 and February 9, 1980, defendant spoke defamatory words about him which injured his reputation as a lawyer. Defendant’s motion for summary judgment was two pronged: it sought dismissal as time barred of so much of the cause of action based upon the allegedly slanderous statement made by defendant more than one year prior to the commencement of…
