This is an original action in habeas corpus instituted by the petitioner, Delbert Randle Cornell, to secare his release from confinement in the State Penitentiary.
The verified petition alleges that the petitioner was charged by an information filed in the district court of Grady county, with the crime of murder on February 21, 1947; that on the same date he was arraigned before the said district court, and entered bis plea of guilty to said charge, and was immediately sentenced to serve a term of life imprisonment in the State Penitentiary.
