Sugar Ridge Properties (“Sugar Ridge”) filed a Petition in Action to Determine and Quiet Title against George Merrell IV, alleging that it was the owner in fee simple of a real estate parcel in Pemiscot County. Black Island Farms, LLC (referred to individually as “Black Island Farms” and collectively with Merrell as' “Respondents”), intervened.
