This appeal comes here from a judgment of tbe Circuit Court for the county of Multnomah. The respondents commenced an action in said court against tbe appellant, a private corporation, for tbe conversion of lumber. A jury trial was held therein, which resulted in a verdict in favor of the respondents and against the appellant, and upon which the judgment appealed from was entered. The proceedings had in the case, as shown by the transcript filed in this court, are as unsatisfactory as any I have met with.
