This is a proceeding under article 10 of the Family Court Act in which the respondent, Jeanne Baum, is charged by Robert E. Bay, attendance supervisor of Middle Country School District No. 11, Suffolk County, New York, with neglecting her 13-year-old daughter, Elizabeth (Siba) Baum, in failing to send her to public school.
