CERCONE, President Judge Emeritus:

This is a direct appeal from the judgment of sentence entered following a bench trial. We affirm.

The events underlying this appeal transpired at approximately 1:30 in the morning on February 28, 1995. The victims, Yang Lo and his wife Mui, were asleep with the lights on in the bedroom of their apartment on the second floor of 1824 Germantown Avenue. The victims were suddenly awakened by a “pop, pop, pop” sound and the noise of shattering glass. A shower of plaster fell on them from the ceiling above their bed.
