Appellant was charged by criminal information with having on September 9, 1968 in Allegany County, Maryland, possessed, distributed, and sold an obscene motion picture film in violation of Section 418 of Article 27 of the Maryland Code (1968 Cum. Supp.). 1 He was subsequently convicted by the court sitting without a jury and fined $500.00. On this appeal he contends that the film was not obscene under the constitutional standards articulated in recent cases of the Supreme Court of the United States.
