delivered the opinion of the court.

This is a direct appeal from the Prohate Court of Cook County by Joan Oelerich, respondent and alleged incompetent, from an order denying her motion, on jurisdictional grounds, to dismiss proceedings to have her adjudicated an incompetent.

The petition for the appointment of a conservator of the estate and person of respondent, filed by her mother, Helen Oelerich, states that respondent’s place of residence is in Evanston, Illinois. A summons was served on her personally in Indiana by the sheriff of Porter County, Indiana. On the…
