Hough sued Baldwin and Chapman before a justice of the peace of La Salle county, on a demand, in assumpsit, of $100. The justice rendered judgment against Baldwin and Chapman for $99.80.
Baldwin and Chapman sued out of the county court of La Salle county, the writ of certiorari, and the cause was brought into that court for trial.
Hough appeared in the county court, and moved to dismiss the certiorari, for want of a sufficient petition, which motion the court overruled, and the cause was then continued. At the next term, Hough entered his motion for a continuance; the court overruled the motion…
