We are not called upon in this case to pass upon the validity of the claim which defendants in error are seeking to enforce against plaintiff, nor do we intend so- to do. It appears from the record, that defendants in error (being a municipal corporation, and authorized by their charter to assess against the inhabitants of the city of Aug'usta, taxes for the support of the municipal government) on the fourth day of February, i860, caused ten executions to be issued by their clerk, against the plaintiff in error, each for the tax due by him for…
