OPINION

Frederick, J.

This claim arises out of an incident that occurred on June 16, 1993. The Claimant, Steven Socolovert, seeks compensation pursuant to the provisions of the Crime Victims Compensation Act, hereinafter referred to as the Act. 740 ILCS45/1 etseq.

On December 23, 1994, the Court entered an order denying the claim. The Court found that Claimants conduct contributed to his injury to such an extent as to warrant that the Claimant be denied compensation. On January 29, 1995, the Claimant timely filed a request for hearing. The cause was tried before Commissioner Fryzel.
