OPINION ON APPELLANT’S PETITION FOR DISCRETIONARY REVIEW
OVERSTREET, Judge.
Appellant was indicted on February 4, 1988 for the offense of murder pursuant to V.T.C.A. Penal Code, § 19.02(a)(1), alleged to have been committed on June 25, 1979 in Travis County. In a trial by jury, appellant was convicted in the 147th District Court of Travis County, and was sentenced to life imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
