On May 16, 1928, Robert B. Hastings, a resident of Delaware county, died intestate, and letters of administration on his estate were issued to his daughter, Lora Hastings. Among his several descendants entitled to share in his estate were a daughter, Elizabeth Ausdem Bruch, and Dorothy Hornby, child of a deceased daughter of the intestate, the petitioners herein.
In the administration of the estate and pursuant to a land contract in which the deceased was grantor, the administratrix received a bond and mortgage for the sum of $6,800 payable to her as such administratrix.
