This was a petition in equity, under the “Burnt Records act,” (Rev. Stat. 1874, chap. 116,) by appellee, against appellant, in the circuit court of Cook county, to establish and confirm the title of appellee to a lot in the city of Chicago.
Appellant claims title under two tax deeds, one dated and recorded in 1877, and the other in 1880. Appellee is the grantee of an assignee in bankruptcy, who took title by deed of assignment in 1873, and conveyed to appellee July 6,1887.
